This Act sets up an Environmental Trust with the objects of: Legislation, Standards and Codes may be linked to one or more of the University's compliance frameworks either as the driver of the requirements, or as a component of the framework. The relevant frameworks are listed below.Environmental Trust Act 1998 (NSW) - Level 4
- Promoting restoration and rehabilitation projects in the public and private sectors which will, or are likely to, reduce pollution, the waste-stream or environmental degradation;
- Promoting research into environmental problems in both the public and private sectors;
- Promoting environmental education projects in the public and private sectors, and public
awareness of environmental issues; and
- Funding the acquisition of land for the national parks estate.
The Act may be relevant to the University as the Environment Trust makes annual grants of funds for restoration and rehabilitation programs and "clean-up".Relevant Compliance Frameworks
