Compliance Is defined in Australian Standard, Compliance management systems – Guidelines, AS ISO 19600:2015, as “Meeting all the organisation’s compliance obligations”.
Compliance Coordinatior The person responsible for coordinating the activities to make sure we comply.
Driver Is the overarching piece of legislation, standard or code that drives the requirement to comply. Compliance obligations attach to the driver.
Local Compliance Officer  The person responsible for processing tasks. Typically the staff member doing the day-to-day tasks.
Obligations Is defined in ISO 19600 as “a requirement that an organisation has to, or chooses to comply with.” Obligations may arise from mandatory requirements, such as applicable laws and regulations, or voluntary commitments such as organisational and industry standards and codes, contractual relationships, principles of good governance and community and ethical standards.”
Responsible Manager The person responsible for ensuring we do what we need to do to meet the obligation (typically a Senior Manager or above).
VC Compliance Delegate The person delegated responsibility by the Vice-Chancellor for whole of University compliance for assigned drivers (typically a member of the Senior Executive)
