This Act establishes the national My Health Record system. The University is subject to this Act primarily in its capacity as a "registered healthcare provider organisation" through its operation of on-campus health services, such as medical centres or psychology clinics. The Act imposes strict rules regarding registration, data handling, privacy, and security to protect sensitive health information.
