Overview	The obligations and penalties under this Act primarily apply to the University of New England (UNE) in its capacity as an "accredited user" of public sector data. To participate in the data sharing scheme, UNE would first need to apply for and be granted accreditation under Part 5.2 of the Act.. If accredited the University can only collect and use data shared under the Act if it is part of a project covered by a registered data sharing agreement, the use is in accordance with that agreement, and the project is consistent with the data sharing principles.
