  • Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (NSW) - Level 1An Act to ensure open access to government information for the public by:
    (a) authorising and encouraging the proactive public release of government information by agencies, and
    (b) giving members of the public an enforceable right to access government information, and
    (c) providing that access to government information is restricted only when there is an overriding public interest against disclosure.
  • Government Information (Public Access) Regulation 2018 (NSW) - Level 1This Regulation is made under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009. It outlines some additional specific open access information of local authorities and ways to make this information available as well as relevant to the University:
    - Additional open access information of certain agencies
    - Annual reporting requirements under section 125 of Act
    - details of exempt documents under interstate FOI legislation and corresponding laws
    - identification of bodies declared to be public authorities
    - access from agencies that are part of other agencies
    - records in certain agencies
    - schedules regarding 1. additional open access information and local authorities; 2. Statistical information about access applications to be included in annual report and 3. Agencies declared to be part of other agencies

    This Regulation repeals and replaces the Government Information (Public Access) Regulation 2009.
  • Government Sector Audit Act 1983 (NSW) - Level 1The principal objects of this Act areâ€"
    (a) to recognise that the Auditor-General is an independent and accountable statutory officer responsible for providing independent audit and audit-related services, and
    (b) to establish the Audit Office of New South Wales to assist the Auditor-General in the exercise of the Auditor-General’s functions.
  • Government Sector Audit Regulation 2021 (NSW) - Level 1Government Sector Audit Regulation 2021 - repeals the Public Finance and Audit Regulation 2015
  • Government Sector Finance Act 2018 (NSW) - Level 1The objects of this Act are as followsâ€"
    (a) to promote and support sound financial management, budgeting, performance, financial risk management, transparency and accountability in the government sector and by GSF agencies and government officers,
    (b) to facilitate the effective devolution of roles and responsibilities in connection with financial management to support efficient and effective government,
    (c) to require the efficient, effective and economical use and management of government resources and related money in accordance with the principles of sound financial management,
    (d) to promote appropriate stewardship of government resources and related money,
    (e) to facilitate cooperation and collaboration within and between GSF agencies for the purpose of achieving common objectives and whole of Government objectives,
    (f) to facilitate the keeping and sharing of performance information in the government sector for the purposes of decisions about resource allocation.
